![]() SPOILERS AHEAD: Of course, with it being a Disney movie and the first moving being completely feel-good, the ending took me by surprise. ![]() Probably because it felt a kind of preachy. However, again, some of the heavily feminist things weren't my favorite. I also really appreciated how both the first movie and second movie had totally different vibes, with the first feeling more whimsical and nonsensical, and the second more realistic and mostly down-to-earth. There were also a lot of the hijinks I hoped for, with Tanner and Lela's movie magic-ness coming out and confusing/impressing the other students, which was really funny to watch (the cafeteria number being a favorite of mine). I really liked how Mack and Brady learned to respect each other more, and I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop. They got to show us more about the characters, which was awesome, and I got to understand Mack and Brady a lot more. Now, pretty much everything I expected to happen did happen. On the other hand, I was nervous because I didn't want to see the typical relationship drama that I was sure they'd have Mack and Brady go through (It was a big part of the plot), and because I guess I enjoyed the summer setting, as opposed to a school setting. Excited, because I enjoyed the first movie and was hoping to see them explore the characters a bit more (which they did), and because I was looking forward to the crazy hijinks Lela and Tanner would cause by being there (thoroughly entertaining). Sparkle rattle doosĪfter watching the first movie and declaring it as my new guilty pleasure film, I was both excited and nervous to watch the sequel. ![]() Once you hear/listen to the lyrics of this song you will see that what I'm saying is way over justified. And lastly, the worst song of all, "That's How We Do" I hate this song with a passion. It just felt like a song that they put together for the sake of Mac and Brady getting back together. Unlike "Crusin' for a Brusin'" This song didn't give me the right feeling. "Gotta Be Me" this song is.questionable(not as bad as the last one though). The MV is just awesome and the song is catchy, and I think Lela was daydreaming the whole MV? I don't know, honestly. The song is just Mac and Brandy trying to convince Lela and Tanner to go back to their world. The song is actually ironically funny "I'm sorry my face hurt your fist, it's okay now I know you exist." That part was a masterpiece and I won't take backlash!! "Silver Screen" So this one I would tie with the one above("Twist Your Frown Upside Down"). It has a good message and it's very catchy. "Twist Your Frown Upside Down" By far the best song in my opinion. Chee Chee singing this in place of Lela except it's more upbeat and there is a LOT of moving around. "Falling For Ya(Reprise 2)" I think it's actually kind of nice but comedic at the same time. In the movie there is a cool statue dude. This song is the song that Lela and Tanner sing once they get to Mac and Brady's world. I'm just kidding but I seriously don't like this song. I HATE cheesy acoustic guitar songs like THIS. Just read the lyrics and imagine a upbeat song. (you can skip this cause it's just me being ruthless and it's not important)SONGS: "The Best Summer Ever" was one of the worst songs in the whole movie and it's a little justified. And that was my monstrosity of a summary. After this monstrosity Mac makes a dance for the movie "Lela: Queen of the Beach" which is the worst thing ever. They make everyone go back to their own world but Lela comes back because "she needs to help M and B be back together(nobody makes it back in time. Lela and Tanner are in "our" world and think it's awesome but people in the movie are disappearing(just like the first movie). Brady and Mac are mad at each other because Brady doesn't take anything seriously. ![]() Lela wants to go to "our" world but Tanner goes with her blah blah blah. ![]() Mac loses her necklace that Lela gave her and it ends up with Lela again. Plot Summary: Mac and Brady were partying because it was the last day of summer and they're together. I thought this would've been one of the best "recent" Disney movies but I was a little disappointed. As a fan of the first Teen Beach movie, I watched Teen Beach 2. ![]()
